NDP @ The Padang
It is one of the 5 years that the NDP (national day parade) is celebrated at the Padang. We had a wonderful time there. It was the first time for most of us, or in fact, all of us to attend a National Day Parade(except for Mr Njoo), LIVE. We were enjoying the fireworks, airplane show, and all the other stuff, but I think the part we most enjoyed was when we were cheering and singing out loud for SINGAPORE!! (who don't agree please leave a message on the tag board)

Nationals Netball Match with CHIJ Kellock
The bus ride to CCAB where we were going to play Kellock was an extremely long journey so we had a long time to think about what we were going to do during the match. It was a long and solemn journey to CCAB and we were intensely thinking about what we could do.
We had a lot of practice on intercepting high passes before we started the game as Kellock uses high passes most of the time, given their height advantage. TK does not really have a height advantage so we use our speed to help us, without it we do not stand a chance against Kellock.
The first quarter of the match was played fine but we still lost to Kellock. The second quarter was even better, we won it but our total score was only a tie. During the third quarter, we were playing our worst and at one point we were down by six points but in the end we were down by three points. We won the last quarter but they were already far ahead of us so we lost with a total score of 22-25. That means TK juniors had to beat Feng Shan and White Sands Primary to qualify for the Semi-finals so we have a tough road ahead of us.

Nationals Netball Match with Evergreen Pri
Our aim for the match was to beat Evergreen Pri as they had beaten us before. After practising some drills we were ready to go on court and face Evergreen Pri.........
We started off well which was quite a surprise as we usually didn't. The thing was the middle part of the game ( 2nd and 3rd quarter) was not that good and Evergreen came over us. The last quarter was good also. When the girls heard Mr Njoo and Mr Chua supporting, their cheering spurred the girls on. In the last few minutes of the game, the girls fought back. Nicole and Juana did some pretty good defence and the shooters shot all the balls that were given to them in. In the end, we were still unable to beat Evergreen Pri. The final score was 17-21 and we could have caught up with them by 4 points.

Nationals Netball Match with Greenridge Pri
When we arrived at school, everything went as normal and we went to get the stats and the camera. Luckily Mr Njoo brought it this time! :) We arrived at KNC and started doing some warm-up. Soon, the match was about to start and the positions were given out. We did the cheer and the match started.
The game was not played very well this time as the shooter's shooting accuracy was not that good. We could actually score 33 if the shooters had been sharper. The score for the 1st quarter was 7-4 which was not that good. For the 2nd and 3rd quarter we got 3-2 and 2-1. The 2nd and 3rd quarter was quite close as we nearly lost both quarters. The score for the 4th quarter was 6-2 making the total score 18-9.

Nationals Netball match with Bendemeer Primary
Our first match in the Nationals with Bendemeer Pri and all the netball girls were already in the gym waiting for the bus to come and pick us up and bring us to Kallang Netball Centre. When we were just about to board the bus, Ms Carolyn realised that the camera was not there! Luckily, the camera was with Mr Njoo, but he left it at his house.
In the first quarter, our shooters scored 5 shots in, and missed 4 shots. The defenders did quite good at their at their defending at the 1st quarter by intercepting and tipping the ball. In the 2nd quarter, the shooters scored the same but this time Zay Hua had a chance to shoot the bal in too, unlike like the 1st quarter.
At the 3rd quarter, Linnet was put into the game as a GA but although she had more shot attemps, she still shot in 3 out of 6 shot attemps. The 4th quarter was the best as Celine put in 6 shots. In the end, the defenders managed to hold Bendemeer Pri down and the final score was 23-1 but Mr Njoo said we could do better.
